A floor of hand-cut white marble crazy paving with a work boot at the edge

The job is won before the first tile.

Good tiling is decided at set-out. Where the full tiles land, where the cuts fall, which way the pattern runs, how the floor falls to the waste. Michael takes the time over that part, because it is the part you will look at every day afterwards.

More about Michael
A gloved hand combing tile adhesive across a floor beside levelling clips and a spirit level

Nobody notices good tiling. Everybody notices bad tiling.

Lippage, a wandering grout line, a skinny cut against the door frame. Once it is in, it stays in. That is why the prep, the set-out and the levelling get the time they need on every job, big or small.

Questions people ask first.

Not covered here? Call or text Michael on 0425 718 370.

How much will my tiling cost?

It comes down to the area, the tile and how much prep the surface needs. Send through the room size and a photo, or have Michael take a look, and you will get a clear price with no obligation.

Do you take on small jobs?

Yes. A hearth, a splashback, a laundry floor or a single feature wall are all worth a call. Several of the reviews on this site are exactly that sort of job.

Do you supply the tiles?

Most people choose and order their own tiles, and Michael is happy to talk through sizes, layout and how much to allow for cuts and wastage before you buy.

What areas do you cover?

Ballarat and the surrounding areas. If you are a bit further out, ask anyway and Michael will tell you straight whether he can get to you.
